Now I offer families and individuals the chance to capture the stories of their loved ones before it’s too late, in a keepsake that can be passed through the generations.
Using the same storytelling skills I’ve used to make award-winning radio documentaries for outlets such as Radio 4, BBC World Service and CBC, I create beautifully crafted Audio Memoirs — intimate, documentary-style recordings of your loved one telling their life story in their own words. With music, sound design and optional recordings from your family archives.
WHY AUDIO?
Audio is a very special medium for telling personal stories. As a listener it's incredibly intimate, you can also close your eyes and imagine the person speaking right there - just you and them. As a participant, the set up of an audio recording is far less intimidating than being filmed; they can settle into a place that’s comfortable for them and forget the mic is there.
WHAT WILL IT SOUND LIKE?
Funny moments, tender moments, the best of times and the worst of times all crafted together in rich and vivid detail to take you on a journey through your loved one’s lived experience. Their life story will unfold across chapters, and I can also incorporate any family archive recordings you may have, or particular music requests.

THE PROCESS
Consultation | An initial chat to discuss any key moments or themes you’d like to focus on, or any special parameters.
Interview | I’ll visit your loved one in their home for a relaxed recording session (one longer session or two shorter ones).
Edit | I’ll craft the recording into an audio memoir of the agreed length with music, sound design, and optional family archive material. You’ll be offered a round of feedback before finalisation.
Delivery | The finished piece will be shared via a private download link and a keepsake USB.
PRICE
All packages are bespoke, but a standard package consisting of a 3 hour interview and resulting in a 60-90 minute audio documentary is £900.
